WHY is he making this choice?
Are you taking care of your dog?
Cleaning up after him and feeding him?
Maybe the responsibility is too much for you right now, or maybe your dad realizes that HE has to pay too much for the dog...vet bills and food?
WHAT are you doing to HELP change his mind?
IF you are doing all you can and he still is giving the puppy away then you need to find out WHY!
Did you and Dad have an agreement that YOU are taking on the responsibility of the dog?
and maybe you are not doing your part?
MAYBE your dad gave you a fair chance and now you think HE is unfair because he wants the dog to have a better home?

Best bet is to figure out why he wants to get rid of him and you fix it the problem.
Is he ruining the house? solve the problem. Is he pooping inside? Train the dog, confine him until he learns? Even a dog house is better than getting rid of him. Is he too much money? help pay or do something to get rid of another bill. Get the idea? Solve the problem. There must be a REASON why he doesn't want the dog. But first find out why your dad doesn't want him, then deal with your dad...and come to a solution.
Tell your dad how you feel and that he is hurting you in a deep way.

if i've got been you i could be busting my butt to get that canines housebroken. take him for long walks established to get some ability out so he would be calm interior the residing house whilst your dad is around and it additionally will provide him the possibility to do alot of peeing whilst he's on his walk. you've got been 4 whilst you got the canines, yet you somewhat arent 4 now so in case you somewhat need to instruct your dad you're severe then i could get working. additionally, in the experience that your canines is 12 and you think of it form of sounds like extra desirable than in simple terms not being housebroken that it ought to be time for some bloodwork. kidney issues arent unprecedented in older canines..however i doubt your dad is keen to pay any funds for a vet pass to with the aid of the sounds of issues.

I would suggest you tell your dad how much you care about the dog and promise to take care of him (walk him, feed him, train him).
Then DO IT!
Good luck!
