Well, first to ask a question like that here, you need to explain what seems to be wrong with the dog. What are the symptoms? And then you could possibly get some help. As far as going to a vet., go to one close to the house or ask your neighbors who have dogs and where do they go, IF they go! As far as what to take with you, nothing but you the dog and a check book!!!

Why doesn't your dog have a vet already????

Does this mean you don't vaccinate your dog?
Or treat it for heartworms?

Do you realize, it is much cheaper to the the preventive maintence of yearly vet visits than to pay to try to treat diseases like heartworm or parvo?

Had you had a vet already, you would have known what days and hours they are open. Another thing you would have known, is where to take your pet when they are not open!

If it's really sick, get him to anyone ASAP. If it's just something small, get him into a vet that you've heard lots of good things about. Then he'll be established for future stuff.

Just go to a vet!! It does not matter what kind because if he is really sick then they will do there best then bring him to better one.

If you don't have a regular or personal vet to go to...Check on line and find the closest one to you.....Since I do not know where you are, I am not sure if you have a "Pet Smart" near by..."Pet Smart" has their own veterinarian in each store...It is called "Banfield"...They are pretty good...I took all my dogs there...

Good luck! I hope your doggie will be well soon!

Ask your neighbors for a recommendation...if they are happy with their vet, most likely you will be too.

Take your dog's health record with you (shot history, etc.).

If your vet is not available, then just find one who is.

If your doctor was closed today and you were sick, wouldn't you look for one that was open or an ER?
