I am moving into a duplex where my neighbor has a pit bull as a pet. I am not a dog person much less a pit bull fan. The living space is great but I am a little apprehensive of the dog. I need advice on how to deal with the dog. How do I let the dog know that I am willing to try and like her?

Yesterday, I asked for opinions on putting my mom's dog to sleep. We got a second opinion from a vet and that vet told us Buffy(the dog) was in kidney failure. Today, I spoke with Buffy's original vet (who just happens to be my friend for many years). She requested the blood work from the other vet. She just called me, and told me the kidney count was elevated slightly. Buffy is NOT in kidney failure. I am taking her there tomorrow to see what else can be done. Buffy slept very content last night and is just like her old self today. This really isn't a question....just keeping you all undated. And thanks...so much for all your help and suggestions!

What type of parrot do you have and what do you love about him/her??

I have a Nanday Conure and a Black-Masked Lovebird. They are both hand reared. I love them because they are friendly and love to play. My Conure loves getting cuddled and loves having showers because it's like the rain.(I live in a hot climate). And my Lovebird flies over and sits on my shoulder whenever she wants attention. Neither of them have learnt to talk yet, but they know a few tricks.

I want them to be semi outdoor cats because we live on a farm. I put them outside in the morning and afternoon until I get them fixed. They love it out there, but the female keeps climbing this tree and getting stuck. I have had to rescue her with a 25 foot ladder twice this week. Is there a way to stop it besides keeping them inside?

I have a beautiful black and white long hair domestic cat named Della. She is my pride and joy! Recently a very pretty tiny kitten was abandoned in my front yard. I mixed formula and syringe fed her for about a week. Then after a few days of kitten food mixed with milk I started feeding her just kitten food and offering her water along with a little milk to supplement. My problem is now Della will not eat anything but kitten food and drink nothing but the milk. This is a very young kitten still probably not 6 wks so I feel as though she needs extra care. Should I just blow it off as a bout of jealousy and humor her or should I feed them in separate rooms at specific times. Della has shown no real anymosity toward Pitty Pat and in fact seems to have maternal instincts toward her. What do you guys think? It may be a silly question but I really love my cats and would like to hear your thoughts.
