No, that is way untrue! If that was the case we would have many many more dead robins.

No because birds of all types have more than one set of babies. Also Robins are not aggressive birds or birds of prey. This is some times true of birds of prey that the fledgling may harm parents that are old or sick. But not Robins

No, there is no information that leads to this conclusion. I've been an Audubon member for over 15 years and a bird-watcher for that long as well and have heard nothing about such a case. I've heard of no American species where this is the case, though I can't swear to it, since I am not an ornithologist. Generally, if there is predation, it is from a larger, adult, bird of another species. Or sometimes, a larger sibling will harm or kill a smaller sibling in order to secure the nest and food only for himself. (and you thought you had problems with *your* family!!)

It is not a certainty. However, male Robins are extremely territorial, especially in the breeding season. If a male Robin came across it's biological male parent, they would fight in these circumstances, and often Robins will fight to the death,
(I am speaking or the European Robin, the American Robin I do not know about.,)

This is a falacy; I've never even heard of this rumor.
Robins are omnivors--they eat berries, fruits, and insects. They lay two to three clutches of eggs a year, and live an average of a year and a half due to predation by birds of prey and mammals, being hit by cars, encounters with windows, etc.

I don't believe that. I've never seen anything to even suggest that. I love robins, I think they are one of the most beautiful songbirds ever.

Only if their parents abused them. Then they seek revenge and gun them down.
