What type of parrot do you have and what do you love about him/her??

I have a Nanday Conure and a Black-Masked Lovebird. They are both hand reared. I love them because they are friendly and love to play. My Conure loves getting cuddled and loves having showers because it's like the rain.(I live in a hot climate). And my Lovebird flies over and sits on my shoulder whenever she wants attention. Neither of them have learnt to talk yet, but they know a few tricks.

I have 8 birds...
*A male Umbrella Cockatoo whom I love for his loyalty and how sweet and gentle he is with children. He preens my hair and is just very relaxing to be around.
*A female Umbrella Cockatoo who is a little on the anxious side, but still very sweet. My favorite thing about her is that she will go to sleep under the covers with me.
*A male African Grey who hates women, but has grown since I have had him into respecting women and not fearing them. I love him because he loves to get kisses and he calls my fiancee an asshole in my voice (I don't know where he got that...)
*A female Greenwing Macaw. I love this bird because I have always wanted a macaw and when we finally got the chance to get one it was a ten year old who had only ever been handled by her male owner (so we thought she would never tolerate women). She is a sweetheart with me and very loving and affectionate. I am so happy to have found her.
*A female Derbyan Parakeet. We call her Gabby (short for Gabrielle) becuase she just gabs and gabs. She is like a teenager on the phone all day long. She has so much personality. It's great to be around her.
*Three love birds. Only two of them are hand tame, but they are pretty sweet to eachother and they are all best friends hanging out in their cage.
Whew!!! lol

I have a Mitred Conure parrot. It is mine but, it thinks it belongs to my boyfriend. I think it's very cool. It's funny and happy. It was aquired as a adult 15 years old. We have not had it long just a few weeks. I like the sounds it makes. It can not talk or say any words. I kinda dis like how much it poops.

Quaker Parrots!

My ex took the parrot when we split up, but Kiwi was the most engaging pet I have ever had. She said lots of things and could sing "You are my Sunshine" and mimic a phone ring very accurately. Her vocabulary was more than 50 words. She was a lot of work, but well worth it. I am considering getting my own, now that she is gone :(

I have a cockatiel (Sparky) and a parakeet (Precious). I think the best thing about Sparky is that he whistles tunes and I love the feathers on top his head!! He is kind of tame, but we're working on it. The best thing about precious is that she is really sweet, and is making a great companion for Sparky!! Also they are really cute!!
