My cat is just in the process of having kittens. she's had 5 so far. Is it o.k for myself or my Partner to handle the kittens when shes finally finished to move them a little basket. Someone told me if I do that then my cat may reject them

He just won't eat the food i've tryed, and if he does eat it, I have to put a bit on the floor, he won't eat it out of his dish.

For example, they will buy purebreeds and spend thousands and thousands of dollars???

Is it a status thing or something? I'm proud to say that my three cats were all adopted as strays. I saved their lives, and I feel good about that.

My dog has never had fleas before. But right now I am living in a house with 2 other dogs. I guess that's where he got them from. How can I prevent my dog only to not get fleas.

Since everyone says dewormers sold at Petsmart can kill my kittens, can I buy something online?

Nearest vet is 2 hours away and my kittens get car sick... and they always overcharge me....

How about DRONTAL (for cats)... "The only broad-spectrum dewormer with the convenience of one dose administration for cats. Drontal contains praziquantel/pyrantel pamoate/febentel. Indicated for removal of tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms." 50 tabs $157

It says NO PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED, even though DRONTAL for dogs is require.

So is this medicine effective? If they only have tapeworms, would this medicine hurt them if they don't have the other worms listed?

And one of my kittens continues to have loose stools (not completely diarrhea) and a pot belly (signs of worms) but no worms were ever seen in his stool like the other on so would it hurt him if I gave him the medicine too?

Also should I get dewormers for my dogs too because they shared food and water with them?

The more I read here, the madder I get. I see questions like: Is it OK to feed my dog/cat people food( or something really stupid as hot peppers). I think my pet is sick, what do I do?. Ooooops my dog is pregnant. Why in the sam hill don't people take care of their pets?? Unwanted pregnancies lead to so many cats and dogs in shelters, have some of you NO BRAINS. Don't get a pet till you have done your homework, and for God's sake take them to the vet regularly. AND GET THEM SPAYED OR NEUTERED.

I asked this one last night but I'm still looking for a good name. I have a 6 day old black male kitten that is in need of a strong unique name, one that he has to live up to. Please help.

I used to see it all the time as a kid. What happened to it? Was it caused by some discontinued brand of pet food?
Have I simply stopped noticing dogshit so much?
Or what?

I had two fish (one died yesterday) and the one that's left looks lonely all by itself. I know normally fish live in shoals so should I buy another one to keep it company or might it attack other fish? (it used to be small but has grown to about 3-4 inches long over the years so he's quite a big fry). Sensible answers please - no suggestions for fish dating agencies or sending him to the local fish and chip shop!

My sister found a cat on the side of the road. It has a VERY smal head and neck, and a very large body. We just found it today, and we cant get it to the vet until Tuesday. Im concerned about it though. Is there any way I can find out, by myself if the cat is pregnant? I didnt want to just start squeezing its belly..any GOOD/USEFUL advice would be appreciated.
