The cat probably grew up with its head stuck in a jar. There probably was just enough air to breath, but not to let its head grow. And no: your retarded cat isn't pregnant. If I were a male cat, I wouldn't have sex with someone as deformed as your cat. So go ahead: squeeze that belly!

Most of my cats look that way, but they've been fixed and are really really fat! LOL
Like Princess said you can feel for movement, if she is that fat and pregnant you should be able to feel movement. Squeezing her belly and feeling around a little is ok, but do it like you are squeezing a loaf of bread for softness, not like molding clay:) Kittens usually feel like a little lump connected to a bigger lump. Maybe like a small and a large marble connected. I found one cat one time that I could feel a little movement but only like one, but she was huge. Come to find out she was pregnant with one kitten and had a bladder infection. So either way try to get her to the vet. Cats on the "street" have had no "prenatal" care.

DON'T squeeze, if the cat is pregnant, then it can damage the kittens. From what your saying, the best way is to check her nipples, if you slowly and gently try to milk them and get milk then she is most likely pregnant. Look for signs of nest building as cats like to have a next before they give birth. Provide newspaper ripped in long 1-2" wide strips, and a old towel or two in a box and see what she does with it. Leave her in a small room, extra bathroom if you have one and see what she does. Google for more information as there are even better suggestions on line.

Do not squeeze the belly if the cat is pregnant you could harm the kittens if her belly is that big you should be able to gently put your hand on her side and you should feel some movement in her belly! be careful and good luck

Some cats do have small heads or as my husband calls them, pinheads. Also, if she was pregnant you would see her stomach moving from time to time which would be the kittens inside. I once brought home a stray female cat that was pregnant with 1 kitten but the kitten was stillborn. Kittens have to be moving around in the stomach as some point or another. Good luck!

do not wait till tuesday. she might be generaly ill. you say you found her on the street she may need thretment.
take her to an animal hospital today do not wait.
not to your question:
check around her nipples is there a big round of hairless skin? is her nipples swollen? is her belly looks like a football?
then she is most likely preganant.
my advice to you is to spay her even if she is or isn't pregnant over 6 millions dogs and cats are being put down in the us each year.
One unspayed cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 cats in seven years!!

Only the vet will know for sure. It sounds like she *might* be a fairly young kitten who got pregnant (they can get pregnant fairly early). If so, she will need *lots* of good nutrition. Give her all the best food you can find. Also, ask the vet to make sure she doesn't have "hydro-pyometria" - it is rare, but can be serious, and seem like pregnancy.

If the cat was pregnate and close to delivery than it would have a belly that would move side to side and she walked. If there was only one of two kittens which is very rare then there would be loose skin infrot of the back legs which would also move side to side as she walked.

Well you can tell if you put your hands on her sides and if you fell movement, she is no doubt pregnant.

first, see if its acting really grouchy. And if it is lazy and usually laying about, that another sign. if none of that is going on...it may be just fat.
