My dog has never had fleas before. But right now I am living in a house with 2 other dogs. I guess that's where he got them from. How can I prevent my dog only to not get fleas.

If there are fleas in the houe your dog is going to have them.
You will need to treat all the pets in the house and the house and carpets to get rid of them.

Put him on a flea preventative. Revolution is great because it kills not only fleas, but mites and intestinal parasites as well. You should probably get the other dogs on the same stuff, they shouldnt have fleas either.

Get Frontline from your vet, and use it every month. That is the only thing that will work. Baths and flea collars won't work as well, and they are more likely to harm him. If you can't get rid of all the fleas, then some will still jump on him, but they'll die quickly.

you can help stop fleas by using a flea treatment such as frontline or stronghold or using medicated shampoos for dogs

really you can't help only your dog from getting fleas. get advantage for all three dogs and treat them all

Advantage or frontline works great. You don't need a vet appointment for it either. Just go to the vet and tell them you want to buy it. They will ask you how big your dog is and hook you up.
