Why is it so important for people to have a purebred or a fancy breed? Why don't more people want to adopt an animal from a shelter or a rescue group? They are so grateful, loving and you are saving a life.

I love my dog, my Siberian Husky, because he's playful, he has a wicked personality and e's really loyal and it's like aving another member of the family, whereas my fish and my budgies seem like actual animals.

When she was at the shelter before i brought her home(ive had har for two days)she followed hand comands. She did this for complete stangers who came and looked at her while i was waiting to pick her up. Now that she is here i cant get her to do it for me. I'm using the same gesturs they used at the shelter, could someone please help me or tell me why she won"t do this for me. She follows me everywhere I go , so I dont thnk it's because she is not comfortable with me. And like I said she was doing them for stangers at the shelter.

My cat Jelly has been doing stuff over the last few days and it
seems like he's sick. He has been sneezing and he looks drowsy.
He also loses his voice sometimes, and poos all over the house,
when he does poo, it looks like he has dirrahia. Is it serious? Should I take him to the vet?!

This has to the hardest decision in the world to make. Let me explain the problem: In March 2006, "Buffy" (the dog) was sick with diarrhea. I take Buffy for her walks all the time, since my mom is up in age. I noticed that when she would squat to urinate, it wouldn't come out. We took her to the vet. The vet kept her for 3 days to observe her and do tests. She said the dog was leaking urine, therefore her bladder was never full. She "thought" it was bladder cancer, but test results came back negative. At that time, the vet suggested putting Buffy to sleep. We didn't. We brought her home. We now got a second opinion....and that vet told us that Buffy's kidneys were failing. But....for the last couple of nights, Buffy has been whining all night. She still has diarrhea and my mom is forever cleaning her "behind". This mom called this morning and said that Buffy even urinated on the bed last night. The problem is....the dog is still eating and has lots of "spunk". Help!

why do these people have pit bulls and staffs and do not work and have no pet insurance be allowed to have dogs like these, they walk around as if to say my dog is better than yours and watch out. the reason im asking is my dog was attacked by one of them 1 week ago and had to get 27 stitches, the owner didnt care less, i have insurance and thank god for that as the bill came to £280. they should all be taxed to the hilt and yes i dont mind paying the tax for my dog, we are a working family by the way. what do you think?

My 7 month shih tzu has had diarrhea badly for the past day and it is really wet and smells. Right now it is 6:15am and he was throwing up that is why I woke up. I'm at a loss right now on what to do. I don't know where the problem is but this is what he ate before it happened. I gave him some salmon and chicken in his dry dog food to help with his coat, and for the first time I gave him a brewers yeast tablet made for dogs. I think it has to do with the brewers yeast tablet but I'm not a 100% sure (I will not be giving that again) so I cut out the chicken and salmon in his food as well just in case. He is still playful and happy the only thing is he needs to poo constantly and sometimes nothing comes out. If it doesn't stop by afternoon I will be taking him to the vet, but I was wondering if maybe someone may have some answers on what I can do to help him. Thank you!

i have two golden fishes, i have chloe almost a year, and banda is two weeks with chloe. they live in a small round aquarium, chloe was always the dominant one, and today banda isnt eating or swimming at all, and its leaning. water is relatively clean. what can i do?
