i would wait untill the ***** is at least 2 years old before you breed her, this gives her time to finish growing and settle down a little bit.

What exactly is a gsp, are you trying to type gsd? They should be at least 2 years old, and you better make sure you are prepared, and ready to do lots of work. breeding is not fun and games it's a lot of hard work (ALONG WITH SOME HEARTACHE), BUT IF DONE PROPERLY IT CAN BE VERY REWARDING (NOT FINANCIALLY). Most reputable breeders bred for the love of the breed it is a very costly proposition

wait for at least 3 - 4 seasons alowing the dog to regulate and then discover the temperament. How ever my dog had only 3 seasons when she was 2 al though she would have made a good mum she would never stand for a dog in the heat of her season so we had her spayed so she could be happy street walking for life

you can breed her at her next season. Be sure to research how to feed and lokk after a pregnant mum and how to cope with whelping etc when pups are born. What a lovely breed. Always wanted one of those. Shame I don't have the space as I'd reserve a pup. Good luck, I hope it all goes well.

Oh, don't forget to find a good sire. Try a working trails dog.

The best answer is don't breed. Unless your dog is a champion example of the breed there is no reason to breed her. Have your dog spayed instead. It will be much cheaper for you in the long run and there are already way too many unwanted dogs in this world.

WOW....... I wonder if romance has that all pre-typed and just does a copy and paste.
I go with the responder that said get the OFA at 2 years, then work toward a title.
If she is above average, find an outstanding male and improve the breed.

AFTER she has her health checks. I think GSP's are a hip displasia breed which means at least 2 years for OFA. Check witht he breed club for other concerns witht the breed (I think I reacall also eyes).
Then it is greatly prefered she have her titles- be they show or field.
