You need to get at least a 6 gallon tank. Water must be changed once a week. Get Stress Coat, Stress Zyme and Ammo Lock - or ask the fish store for appropriate chemicals. Also be sure to get an ammonia tester and a Ph test kit. Very important that ammonia tester shows it to be absolutely clear. Ammonia is the biggest killer of fish. And the water should have the right Ph balance. Be sure you have filters and change them every 5-6 weeks. Banda may be sick and it is good you have separated them. Keep it that way 'til you figure out what's wrong. In any case do not purchase more fish until you have an adequate environment for them. If you had just one for a year in just a bowl maybe that was OK - but with 2 you need to have adequate filtration, cleaning and chemicals. Goldfish poop and pee a lot, not to mention all the rotting food that they don't pick up. All of this causes the ammonia problem. With two critters instead of one you've got at least twice the problem so be sure to do it right in the future.

There are several things you can do. First of all, why not try separating them into a different tank/bowl/aquarium. Banda could probably feel it better being alone and not feeling too stressful. Two, a fish could be sick which resulted them being passive. One of the easiest ways to remedy this is to add a little bit of salt into the water to let your fish heal itself. If this doesn't work, you have to go to a pet shop to get some fish medicine kit. Three, have you considered that maybe the aquarium is perhaps too small for your two fish? Four, go to a pet shop, talk to them to learn more what you can do about Banda. Good luck.

your fish became more sensible to changes in water temperature.

ps: you are cruel keeping 2 fish in a bowl. in some countries you could go to jail for that.
