the uk's largest ever recorded tame koi was around 65lbs

I have a koi 32 to 33 inches. It's a doitsu yamabuki ogon, 18 years of age. The Japanese have had some success in reintroducing mirror or wild carp genes back into the go sanke for bigger size.

I have seen them pretty big, like the size of a trout. Not sure of where the biggest is.

i have seen them about 3/4 feet in length,that was in tenerife,i have two in my pond { brown in colour} there only small at the moment but they have time to grow,.
