depends on type and breeding history. Purebreeds are worth about 2 to 4 dollars. Garbage or hobby shop guppies are worth a dime each and used as food for aggressive fish.

If you buy them in bulk like most fish shops they will offer a discount. If you buy about 20 purebreds at once you will get them at 50% off normal price. The junk guppies you can trade for from fish hobbyests. give them a good fish in exchange for 50 junk guppies and the like.

I breed red claw shrimp and trade them into my fish store rather often.

commons usually can be gotten for about 1.00 dollar by the dozen.fancy males run 1.79 to 2.19 dollars each, and fancy females about 1.49 dollars each in my area.
