I used to see it all the time as a kid. What happened to it? Was it caused by some discontinued brand of pet food?

White dog poo is old, decaying poo that's been there for a while. You probably don't see it as much anymore because of all the pooper-scooper laws in existence about cleaning up after pets.

Pooper scooper laws and the fact it was dressed in winter time camouflage.
Old poop turns white after a long time, some dries up and stays brown it all depends on the food and weather conditions.

i grew up out in calif. and i saw that too........i thought the sun was bleaching it out or somthing. i dont see that no more either.........but i live in ozark mountains of missouri now.........i also would like to know this silly answer to mistery white poopy
