I resently purchased a home with a fenced in back yeard and I have always wanted a Great Dane. What does everyone think of the name Darth Vader for an all black Great Dane?

I heard that its nearly impossible to breed boston terriers because they have suck large heads and broad shoulders when they are born that they require a c-section. Does anyone have any previous experience with this and is it expensive? Serious answers only because I will report you if its stupid...

i found it yesterday and when i called the wildlife center they said the bird was probably suffering and they would put it to sleep but the bird would prob. die on its own. i kep the bird in a box with a towel and some water... its still alive. it managed to get out of the box and hop around on the floor of m porch. the wing is still broken and the bird is still breathing heavily. its not ready to go back into the wild but i dont want the wildlife people to kill it.... what should i do?! i really need help with this so please email me at j_dziki10@yahoo.com if you feel that we could have more than just and "answers" conversation. thanks

My dog, as most do, goes crazy with fireworks, gunshots (we live in the county and there are always gunshots), thunder, even the sound of a basketball bouncing as the boys play, any loud noise. She has gotten so bad that now she destroys everything in her path - plants, tables, woodwork, everything. Bringing her inside is not an option because it's not my house and dogs are not allowed in. I would like to enjoy some of the fireworks myself, and I'm not really keen on having her in my car - dirt and hair, or druging her. Is there any technique - any method of comfort - control - leadership that I can offer her to calm her down. HELP!!

I'll try to keep this short. We have 3 indoor dogs.

Juliet, an Italian Greyhound, is our alpha dog. She's 9 and was an only dog for 3 years.

Griffin is another Italian Greyhound, who we've had for 6 years, he's a passive little boy.

Three years ago, we inherited a dachshund, Gretchen, who is about the same age as Juliet. She settled in fairly well, but just recently Juliet and Gretchen have been fighting...they had a blowout a couple months ago and two pretty decent arguments last night. Juliet starts this (jumping on Gretchen then screaming & snarling) but Gretchen can be aggressive when provoked and is twice Juliet's size.

I'm stumped as to why this is happening. We haven't had any changes at home and all dogs were neutered at a young age. Any ideas??

I brought it home and all it does is sleep. It has a bald spot on the back of its head, and on its wing from the dammage. I dont no what to do. What would be the most humain thing to do........Try to heal it or kill it? And how to kill it if you dont have any weapons. PLEASE ANSWERE KINDLY!!! Sneezy is just over a year old. While he has a 2X2X4 foot cage which is always open, he has comandeered one of our dresser drawers which has his own bedding, both material and sawdust which are changed regularly. the problem is that lately he has been itching and scratching so much that he now has loads of little scratches which have broken the skin. he now has lots of little scabby nicks. also around the cuts his fur seems to be falling out.Any help would be really appreciated. Waiting hopefully. Thanks!

My normally docile female cat has begun hunting and sometimes killing the wildlife in our garden. Nothing is off limits and frogs seem to be as popular as birds.
We have recently moved to the area and I'm wondering if she is picking up the habbit from other cats - my sister who lives a few doors up has the same problem with her cat, which brings home 'presents' almost every day. Since both cats have been playing together the character of mine has changed. I've tried keeping her in, however, this can only ever be a short-term measure.
This may seem trivial to some people, but I do not like animals suffering (they are not all dead when she brings them in) and although I know this is a basic characterstic, none of my previous cats have hunted to the same extent or ferocity.
