Well I love cats dearly and it seem kinda mean. But if they are disturbing your sleep then I guess I would probably do the same thing. It's not like it is going to hurt them. I wouldn't use ice water. Just plain cold water.
Did someone say Pizza and icecream. I hope its candy apples

Apples-no. Water however will not hurt them they just dislike it intensely.....so,yeah.( I would think pizza and ice cream would just encourage them to come back since your feeding them.)

the ice water is a good idea.we have used water to train our house cats before .it wont hurt them and it will shock them right out of the fight!!!

yeah its ok, they're stray. nobody loves them. but dont throw pizza or ice cream at them! thats good food!

Well, have in mind that the noise of the water hitting the floor is enough to scare them away, if you wanna hurt cats I would suggest you to jump from a building and try to land on them, that sure will hurt them.....

It depends on what time of night it is, but yes it's fine as long as you do it from an elevated position. Preferably from a tree or even better from a giraffes neck.

yes, but not icy cold, you could do warm water though. just dont throw it on their ears, cause they have this thing about being infected
