What are we STILL doing in Iraq? Innocent people are dieing over this war! What are we getting out of it? About a week and a half ago a cousin on my dad's side of the family died from being shot in the head going to work. He and his wife had two kids and one on the way. A lot of people are going through deaths... What if that same war was happening in the US?
Having shooters walking around your neiborhood... and snipers hiding in bushes ready to shoot any second...
It's really sad what is happening and I hope it finishes soon. What do you think? I would love some feedback on what you think about this war going on in Iraq. Thanks :)

Palestinian National Charter is the official PLO doctrine. Decide for yourself if this seems to be a "moderate" organisation that accepts a two-state solution and rejects violence and terrorism.

Article 2: Palestine, with the boundaries it had during the British Mandate, is an indivisible territorial unit.

Article 7: … [the Palestinian] must be prepared for the armed struggle and ready to sacrifice his wealth and his life in order to win back his homeland and bring about its liberation.

Article 9: Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. Thus it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it.

I hope that if H. Clinton ends of becoming President of the US, the American people don't pat themselves too hard on the back. Sure, having a female run for office and actually coming out on top is a first for the States, but Canada did it before you. ;)

Oh well. Good luck with all of that, fellow neighbors.

Why go into a war that most people think has no point. Some people believe that the Jews were the terrorists by hiring Muslims to bomb the twin towers and the pentagon, also ive heard that we are just going into the war so we can get more oil. Anyways just want to hear some option and thoughts of what you guys think.

Thanks

I remember during the Vietnam War the local paper published a map of Vietnam in 1967 that showed where we had control. The following year, in 1968 they published a new map showing we had lost a lot of ground -- yet the paper still insisted we were winning.

-------------

Today, on Yahoo news was this headline:

U.S., Iraqi troops control only a third of Baghdad

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S.-led soldiers control only about a third of Baghdad, the military said on Monday, almost four months into a security crackdown during which troops are dying at rates not seen for more than two years.

-------------

To me it is as clear as day we have not won the hearts and minds of the people and that when this is over democracy will not win over a dictatorship. That we need to lick our wounds and get the hell out and let the Iraqi people sort this out.

What are your thoughts?

The liberals loved and lauded him when he mocks Bush and gives discounted oil to the poor. Where's Harry Belafonte and Cindy Sheehan ? How does the left feel knowing he is taking control of the media ? Plain and simple the man is a totalitarian dictator who should have been captured when he came to speak at the U.N.

I mean...the USA has it's own form of "insurgency" going on with gang killings and other murders.
Look at it this way:
Murder rates are usually quoted as per 100,000 people per year.
The 10-year average homicide rates (1987-1996) for the United States averaged 8.8. Considering the population of the USA at 300,000,000....
So that was about 26,400.

TWENTY SIX THOUSAND PEOPLE MURDERED EVERY YEAR ---in a country that isn't "IN A WAR ZONE" is a heck of a lot of people folks.
