I honestly can't understand how anyone would support the McCanns after their behaviour. It is going to get a whole lot worse I can tell you. Obviously, there is the book launch "the idiots guide to parenting". They there is the OK and Hello spread and endless interviews giving us "their story". The feature length film will be next "Lost - a mothers tale". There will also be the advertising - running shoes for Kate, public speaking for Gerry - and that's just the beginning.
There are only two things holding them back - their remaining children.

Any form of abuse or profanity is not acceptable whether from the McCann sympathisers (i don't see anyone supporting the McCanns in leaving their babies unattended) or from the anti-McCanns. I think people are lashing out as the entire situation has really touched us all. CT, you would do well to realise that a few of the anti-McCanns have also been quite rude & downright insulting pretty often. BTW, I'm begining to agree with what i read sometime ago that a thumbs up depends on conformity & not on content. Despite never ever using profanity or even being overly blunt, i've been reported & hidden constantly, just b'cos i differ from you anti-McCanns. Am as sick & tired of this attitude as well...Healthy debate, huh?

I don't know to be honest. It shows that people are willing to forget the law these days as long as the people who commit the crime look sad. I'm going to wait and see how this turns out as I could get away with robbing a bank in later life if I pull a sad face and say it was for my poor children. This is just showing how gullible people are and the more gullible, the more you can take advantage (as is being proved at the moment).

I am too stunned about this whole thing. I got a shock when I heard they went to Rome to see the pope and left the other two behind in Portugal. Have they not learnt anything yet. Another mother would be clinging on to the rest of her children even more. And if the parents couldn't take them then they would not go anywhere themselves. Sick isn't it.

They don't seem to grasp what has actually been said, they just have a knee jerk reaction to the person concerned so there is an instant stream of abuse that bears no relation to the question or answer. Perhaps they never did Comprehension excercises in English when they were at school.
They are no credit to the McCanns who they profess to support.
Before everyone starts screaming I am referring only to those who constantly answer questions with a torrent of ill written, ill spelt abuse.

The truth Hurts, they cannot bear to read that they , the McCanns made a huge, massive mistake by leaving them poor kids alone in an unlocked apartment, and are now trying to divert the attention from this to globe trotting, which is causing more of a controversy!
And, by the by..........has everyone forgotten there is a little girl missing here..........coz I did for a moment............shame on me!

i reckon 50% fall into the well everyone else thinks this so i'll think the opposite (because they always do)
25% just think its cool to say rude words on the internet cause mummy does'nt let them say them in real life
25% just are too deluded to see whats going on
also i'd like to see the supporter post links to the other messages of support they have left in the past pre-madeleine i bet none of them can its all jumping on the bandwagon trying to look good

i am neither a supporter or non-supporter because ultimately this is about the child that has been kidnapped... the parents are definately to blame because who in their right minds would leave their three super small children alone? she wasnt even old enough to take care of the other kids.
its sad ..specially because they could of found her if only their government werent so slow to report it to the ports ... its TOO sad to see this..tooo sad

I'm surprised everyones still going on about the parents leaving the children alone while they were out, Ok it was a silly thing to do (no i wouldn't have done it) but they have paid the worst punishment ever, loosing a child must be the worst feeling ever, there are thousands of missing kids out there just like little Madeline, if only our efforts were put into trying to find these kids rather than bickering if they were right or wrong to leave them alone. I think both parents are suffering every second, and nobody can make them feel any worse. why are people getting nasty with one another? life's too short for pettyness

I think it's such an emotive situation people need to let rip, the problem is the Mc Cann did wrong and most people cannot get over that fact. While other people have found it easier to move past that bit others haven't.
Whichever camp you are in though
EVERYONE wants MADELEINE back.
That's the one thing both sides have in common and that's the main thing getting her back
