since bush and putin are best buddies, why not make a deal with them, and place the missile defense system on their soil??

You're kidding, right? It's a logical assumption that war secrets FROM BOTH sides has been bought, exchanged and sold quite discreetly. Seems the US and the U.S.S.R. both yearn for the good ol' days of the Cold War.
You tell me the logic in the US building a missle defense system on Soviet land.

Why not, we sold out to the Chinese, Clinton gave them all our military and science secrets and the Bush administration helped them become a financial superpower and sold them a large portion of US debt that they could call it in at anytime and bankrupt the US, we're talking to Iran and bowing down to Central and South American countries. Might as well complete the job.
