I have 3 rabbits in my room and I clean their cages regularly but I just cant get the flies to die, we've also put up those sticky fly strips around (which have caught a lot) but they seem to just keep coming.

I deliver newspapers to this brand new house where a concrete driveway was just poured. After the driveway was poured, the people were blocking the approach with numourus things like the city garbage cart, a weber grill, their cars, and a couple of plastic adrorondak chairs the first week. Recently i seen a sign on their front lawn that said please return the 4 plastic lawn chairs. Dont these people have common sense of where they place their belongings? When things are at the end of the driveway its considered free, or trash. Same thing happened in my city when someone parked their utility trailer on the curb. I dont feel sorry for these people. Its their stupitdity thats at fault.

The brick/dutch oven is set into the fireplace, not hanging like a generic dutch oven. It is placed to the right of the area where the fire is made, yet still in the fireplace. How does this type of oven function and how would one go about maintaining the oven?

I just purchased a new-to-me home (30-40 yr old construction). The master bedroom is on the main floor above the basement and we are wondering if the floor will hold the bed.

Everything I've read says that if the house was built to code, then it will be fine due to the distribution of weight. The house is in great condition and I think it will, but how can we be sure (without filling it and holding our breath)?

I have a bare wall in my bathroom between the entrance door and the edge of the shower and I would like to mount a towel rack, the light switch is kind of in the way so it has to go either above or below. The light switch is centered 48" from the floor and I have 22 inches from the switch plate and the shower. How high should I mount a towel rod?

My fiance and I were looking into having a company build a house for us. They have houses they can build ranging in prices. We are looking at one that's under 1500 sf. Do houses like this normally get put together faster since they use the same models?

Do you have an idea of how long it would take? We will be renting an apartment for at least 6 months prior.

I just had a yard sale for the first time in my life and I couldn't believe what an awful experience it was! Even though I priced everything low ('cause I am really in a rush to sell everything), people still bargain, make unreasonable offers (such as $3 for a DVD player) and then scoff at me when I say no :) Some also went inside the house and started opennig kitchen cabinets, even though I specified that only the stuff outside is for sale. Others bring kids with them and let them throw stuff around without disciplining them. Etc etc etc
I was so tired after yesterday, that I decided I'd rather take the rest of my stuff to charity than go thru this one more day.
Can you share your garage sale experience, especially if you had some interesting or weird buyers?:)

A friend of mine lives in a house with her husband and infant son. They do not have any indoor pets and yet they have a severe flea problem- actually the whole neighborhood does. It is very hot and dry and the fleas are everywhere. They have treated the yard and bomed the house, but the problem goes away for a few days, then it comes back again. They have tried 7 dust and Addams in the yard. Is there anything more they can do? It seems that when a neighbor sprays their place, the fleas all come over, then when they spray, they leave back to an untreated house, but come right back. They just tried spraying with Pamolive all over the yard since they have noticed that they bring in the fleas from just doing simple things like getting the mail.

Does anyone have any home remedies or other suggestions? The indoor fleas are not too severe YET, but they want to control it before it does become a problem. (also house is not on a slab, have bomed under the house too)
