Sevin is a good insecticide for vegetables. If you're a little leary about using poisons on your food you can use insecticidal oil. It usually comes in a concentrate and you mix it although some companies make it ready-to-use. Neem oil is just as good or better but costs more. It can be used up to day of harvest and all you do is wash it off when you pick it--which most people do anyway. I prefer the neem oil because it can help protect from diseases also.

Seven Dust, be careful how ou apply, I use an old stocking so I can shake it above the plants and it will fall gently on the plants.
