I have a bare wall in my bathroom between the entrance door and the edge of the shower and I would like to mount a towel rack, the light switch is kind of in the way so it has to go either above or below. The light switch is centered 48" from the floor and I have 22 inches from the switch plate and the shower. How high should I mount a towel rod?

I really don't like a towel bar above an electrical fixure/switch. A wet towel against electricity is not good. I prefer towel bars to be just below shoulder length. Hate it when I go to a public place and the water runs down my arm because I have to elevate my arm to get a towel.
