I'm in the market for an air purifier and I'm not sure which kind I should get. I've taken a look at some, and I'm not sure which would fit my needs. I first took a look at some HEPA filters, since I know they filter 99.99% of air particulates. But I also knew that they're usually loud, you have to change the $100 filter every other month and they take up a lot of energy. I saw a Kenmore Envirosense filter and though it looked nice, but still; the hassle with expensive filters and energy. Before I go on, I should say the men in my family (My dad, brother and me) all have asthma, so we need something that would help with that. We also took a look at some models over at Brookstone. We found a Pure-Ion Advanced Air Purifier. The thing was ugly, but it worked, saying you would have 80% cleaner air in about 8 minutes. This isn't a HEPA filter, but it had a fan. They say this one helps with asthma, but I'm not sure. Another one from Brookstone was the Blueair HEPA filter, one that was more

I would like to tip a service man who installed our dishwasher (he is still here) but I don't know what the standard is?! He carried the new one by himself up two flights of stairs and took out our old one and carried it back down the two flights of stairs. Is $10 enough? Please reply ASAP! Thank you so much!

...sprouts, mesclun, and beautiful English cucumbers .. don't you think that would be nice? I could supply hotels, restaurants, and the supermarket....

Can you add to the dream, just for dreams' sake .... or: would anybody like this idea for his / her own?

I love gardens, don't you?

Maybe some snow peas in the Summer!

The seller says it has been corrected. They fixed drainage problems around the house, sealed under the house with polysheeting, installed a ventilation system under the house and replaced all flooring and vinyl.
The house has clearly been well cared for. Except for the mold history, it's in great shape. How do we know everything is OK now? We are going to have an inspection of course, but what should we make sure they are looking for?

I live on a lower floor apt, and I'd like to keep the heat as well as humidity in, and the "static" out. Any suggestions?

My husband and I have been mulling taking some of our seedlings to the Farmer's Market in the spring. Along with seedlings, we could peddle wood and fabric craft gift items and houseplants. We grow and craft because we enjoy it, but some extra money would be helpful :)

I am curious if others have had any success at farmer's markets. If so, with what plants/wares. What kind of a profit margin would be expected on average? Can you give us any other advice? We're in southern MI.

I have bought two mattresses in the $1100 range (sent the first one back and paid extra amount to get an upgrade), and both of them developed depressions where my hip pressed down. Even though I turned the mattresses completely around each week, the sagging spots remained. I am thinking of buying a foam mattress costing about $3000. i am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds.
