If you have gas, modine makes a nice garage approved heater called the "hot dawg"

You can do a several things,
Safest?

Insulate and Cover the Walls with OSB, Run 30 Amp Circuit and put in a 4000 Watt Electric heater.

If you have Natural Gas available get a small Gas Heater,

Alternative buy a little wood stove and enough stack to go through the roof, burn scraps or wood.

I am going to heat a 24x24 garage, I am going to opt for a little wood stove.

A monitor heater or an electric heater or 2 would probably heat a shop that size.

We have a gas heater that goes in the wall that heats up our garage really well. I don't think you even have to vent it though it wouldn't hurt. Plus, you can get blowers for them. I think we got it at Lowes. Easy to install as well.
