I have bought two mattresses in the $1100 range (sent the first one back and paid extra amount to get an upgrade), and both of them developed depressions where my hip pressed down. Even though I turned the mattresses completely around each week, the sagging spots remained. I am thinking of buying a foam mattress costing about $3000. i am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds.

Had the same problem with mattresses until I started sleeping on a water bed.

When it finally got old and started leaking she, got an air mattress like you see advertised on T.V. all the time. It works good. We can each set how firm or soft we want our side of the bed to be and it doesn' develop sags or at least not yet.

We did learn the first winter we used it that you need to have a heated bed pad between the matress and you. We or rather she solved that problem by getting an electric blanket that goes under you and under the bottom sheet. In other words one you sleep on. It is a Sunbeam and she got it at Wal Mart if I remember right.

I would suggest getting a tempurpedic mattress. I've used it currently and it does not have the developed despressions. I've found other mattresses have this problem when I used it after some time.
