I have heard that there are certain times of the year where retailers have the best sales and deals. I was wondering if anyone out there might me able to shed some light on this for me. I am renovating my kitchen and, of course, would like to save as much money as possible.

I have 5 racoons that come to my house about every week or so and party down usually about 3 AM or so. We have no food outside at all. They get under the house and bang the water pipes, they get up on the roof and tear up the shingles. I'm looking for something that I could buy that would scare them away or a smell maybe that they did not like. I know a dog would work however my wife and I both work right now so can't do that.

We bought a used mobile home from a dealer and when we looked at it for the first time, it had an aweful smell like urine. We felt that it was cleanable, however after removing sheetrock we saw that the walls had so much urine soaked in them, it had rose up the wall and in the floor and in the studs. We want the dealer to take it back and give us out money back....

I would have to say that most houses are ugly...when are we going to start designing houses that compliment the natural world vs. using materials such as plastics?

I have tried pepermint, mouse traps... I do not want to use the Decon incase the mouse dies downstairs and the neighbors dog eats it. The traps I have been buying are not doing the trick. Even if it is a brand you recommend, I am open to any thoughts. I cannot take the messes any more!

We have a freezing cold apartment. A manager came by yesterday, and (politely) pointed out too much stuff in front of the radiators, particularly in one bedroom we use only for storage. It was, admittedly, crammed with stuff. We'd just kept the door closed all the time...

But. There was frost build-up on every window save for the ones in the storage room, which was interesting. He blithered about the 'flow,' offered to help us move the stuff around, and swore the place would be warmer if that one was unblocked, so to speak.

Of course it's no warmer and he'll be back shortly. The problem is that the windows are terrible.

But -- would there be any reason those windows were frost-free, besides the heat from that radiator just going up because it was somewhat blocked in front? What on earth was he on about vis-a-vis radiators and 'flow'?

Thanks!

Sounds like an obvious question, but I have had many different answers. Is it wasting energy? Is it giving out stray current? Would it be dangerous if water was accidentally splashed onto thesocket? Is it still contributing to global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps?
