I pour baking soda down the drain, then pour white vinegar over the baking soda...it fizzes up, then goes down...I then rinse that after a minute or two with warm water. This usually does the trick.

Put some baking soda in the drain, then pour vinegar in and let it bubble up. Do this a couple of times. You can also put baking soda on an old toothbrush and try to scrub right inside the drain to get the scum off. It works for me every time. Or...are you sure it's your drain? Could something else be causing the odor that's under your sink, or next to it? If something is damp under your sink it could be getting moldy or mildewy, that would cause an odor as well.

properly, I ought to assert baking soda and pouring white vinegar over it so it bubbles. I wager you have a bad clog of something in there. have you ever tried to fill the sink with heat soapy water and earlier all of it drains out plunging it with a plunger. in case you have double sinks, block the different drain. there is likewise a white plastic strip with barbs on it so you might purchase basically approximately everywhere the place they have plumbing components. You stick this plastic strip into the drain, and push and pull, and push and pull and notice what you relax. you additionally can attempt a bucket with a pair of million/4 cub of bleach and a few laundry cleansing soap extra to it to place via the drain--use one bucket for each sink. do this once a week. you additionally can use the water earlier hand to became your counters, tables, sinks, etc. stable luck.
