I have a split level house and the % for pretty much the whole house has been between 55-60%. Do you think i need a dehumidifer or is there something else i can do to make it less humid. The temp in my house is 72, so a little too cool for AC and a little too warm for heating...

Theres a house in town that caught on fire 15 years ago, but did not damage the exterior walls, a new roof was put on 4 years ago, but theres a a couple 15 foot square holes in the exterior walls. whats the likeliness that water and snow coming in through these holes has damaged the house beyond repair?

We have a beautiful, but very fragile tile roof. The tiles break if you look at them too hard. They cannot support my bodyweight even if I am on my hands and knees.

I need to make a minor repair to a window located in the middle of the roof. I can only repair it from the outside. I need to cross about 7 ft of tile.

How can I cross the roof without breaking the tiles?

Me and my wife both love this house. Its a 30yr old house and looks to be in good condition (based on home inspection). However we and the inspector discovered a slope in the family room. Interestingly the family room was an addition to the rear of the house and is sitting on its own foundation/crawl space. And the slope is in the outermost side of the family room away from the house. The slope is around 3 inches. As first time home buyers we are really scared to get into this, but we are still thinking about it coz we really like the place. We also hired a structural inspector who estimated 15K-16k to fix this using pipe piles. However I found the structural inspector very unprofessional and untrustworthy.
Is 3 inches a significant slope to require correction? There are some minor hair line cracks in foundation. The sellers did not disclose it. In their disclosure they mentioned that there is a post that is short in that area of the house.

So I broke it, I have to pay for it. My question is that it will definitely be easier to fix this myself as opposed to hiring someone and footing the bill, but where do you go to buy just panes of glass? Lowe's websites only give me window options, and other doors, but I only have to fix the glas! I'm broke (no pun intended) as it is. Help!!

I have an older Kenmore dishwasher and I've noticed that it does not fill up with water. When I start it, a small amount of water runs into the tub and it starts it's cycle but there is very little water inside so it doesn't clean the dishes. If I pour extra water in the tub, it does a great job cleaning the dishes. I disconnected the water supply line and opened the valve and it seems there is a lot of water pressure but i've opened the dishwasher door as it is filling and it is only a trickle coming in. What would cause the dishwasher to not fill up with water?

I have secured all the fittings and checked for leaks, but the gas flow seems to be restricted. This line has a 3-way split to a kitchen stove, hot water heater, and clothes dryer. The pilots all stay lit, but when fired up, the flame is blue and yellow and sputters and will only burn at a low level.

Throughout my house I have good water pressure everywhere but my kitchen sink. It is so bad that the dishwasher will not fill properly so does not wash the dishes. What would cause only this faucet to have poor water pressure?

This has already been patched on the inside, but now there is condensation on the wall sometimes (not often, but still), and the floor below the crack is starting to crack as well. One solution I got is to build drains on the outside of the house to carry away water.
The only way to solve it is to fix the exterior of the cement wall, which lies under my porch!! (Which happens to be under my new roof!) Is there a way to get to it by going under the porch?? The crack is straight down in one place.
