Doubtful,

The oil in your tank will be contaminated by the sludge at the bottom of the tank and it may not be worth recovery, after all the price of oil isn't that great.

The bigger problem is what to do with those old tanks. I saw an episode of This Old House where they wanted to replace the existing oil tanks in a house. They were able to get a company to pump the oil out and clean it, but they had to pay them for that and then they had to pay a hazardous material disposal firm to handle and remove the old tank.

So the question is what to do with the tank? If you leave it then you have a potential hazard and fire problem in the basement and if you remove it then it cost more than the value of the remaining oil in the tank.

I took out many a tank in my day. The best bet, be a kind neighbor and pump into one of their tanks or give it or sell it to some one. then cut the tank in half and take it to the junk yard.
