Have leak on 5hp carb.?

I removed carb and tank from my 5hp briggs side shaft to clean tank. I put new gasket and sealer on.Now it runs good but leaks gas between carb and tank. Tried eveything still leaks. Help!

Its a side shaft . Their is no diaphram under the carb.

Are you talking about a briggs diaphram carb? It could be that the diaphram is not under the carb straight. If it doesn't lay flat it will cause a leak.
