My mom has a large lead crystal bowl and a piece about two inches long got broke off of the base. It is a punchbowl on a connected pedestal. We had it repaired at the glass place but it came apart again. The bowl is brilliant cut crystal and is very beautiful. It is also very heavy!!!!

I just tiled my entire bathroom with porcelain tile. Looks great, now I'm ready to grout. The last 1/3 of the bathroom was just set in the mortar. Do I need to wait before aplying grout to this area, or can I just go for it before the mortar is completely set?

Also, I have sinced learned that placing the backerboard and tile over the flange on the top of the tub is wrong. It was only supposed to rest on the top, it's already done this way. to me it looks fine, but will this cause some sort of unforseen problem?

Thanks!

I read this information for flushing my water heater http://www.cbnbh2o.com/tips/heater.html
it did not outline that the heater should be put into pilot light mode

i flushed the water heater and then it ran for an hour heating before i turned the temp down to manually shut it off..

i became concerned that something might be wrong when it didn't shut off after an hour....thats why i manually turned the temp down on it to shut it off...
We have the temp set all the way up to the highest setting

I do get hot water out of the tap.

I did some quick research and like every site besides the one i read said to put the water heater in pliot light mode...
Did I ***K up the heating elements?

Please help
very worried

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I do not see any cracks in any of the walls. The creaking sounds are coming from the roof and will travel across the room. The sounds seem louder, and occur more often day and night

We are buying an older house. Some of the siding is gone. I would like to replace it with similar siding. I am afraid it is too old of siding to find a replacement for the missing or worn out siding. How do I know?

I went to put the clothes in the dryer, and I found that there was still about 6 inches of water in the bottom of my washing machine. I have tried to make it drain, and go through the spin cycle. All it does is spin the water around. Any ideas on what may be wrong, and how to fix it?

We bought a house last spring that has free gas comming from a well on the property behind us.We didn't have any problems all summer and the pressure stayed up to 30psi.Now that it has gotten clod and wet the pressure drops and comes back up all the time.Recently it has droped and stayed down real low at the house but back at the well it is still 30psi.I was told that the lines could be cleaned but we don't have the $ to pay someone to do it.My husband knows alittle about the lines because he makes the stuff for them at work. My question is if we turned the gas off back at the well is there a way we could clean out the lines ourselves?

Hey guys I just started to experience some weird black stuff coming on my wall...but I am not sure what is the reason. I live in a apartment and its my own heating that I pay for. So i turn it on in a moderate way like only when I'm home and only the rooms that I need. So I have a little doubt that it is heating problem but I am not sure. Please help me to find out what is the cause, if its heating I will keep it on every time in the apartment.
