Can door handles be replaced on these and if so could I get one at like Home Depot or Lowes? Also, if I wanted the doors totally replaced would Home Depot sell them or would I have to contact a door company?

I am having security lights- with a motion detector that trips the light for 20 seconds- installed on the outside of my home. Should I get the electrician to install them on a switch that I can turn on and off? Is there any reason I wouldn't put them on a switch, (it does cost more to wire that way). I just don't want to have to get it done later if it is best for them to be on a switch.

I have a craftsman 6.5 HP push mower. Its been acting up recently. What its been doing is: I start it up and it runs strong for about 5 minuets, after that it starts sputtering and shuts off. Then it wont start back up for at least 15 minuets. Anyone know how to fix this?

This is a 20 year old solar water heating system that has been woking fine up until just recently. It has a Grundfos A8207 pump, and Heliotrope General Delta-t+ DTT-74 control box. The lights at the control box indicate power there, but the pump does not appear to come on (even when switched to "manual mode"). How do I determine if the problem is in the pump, or in the control box? There are no obvious frayed wires etc, and no other apparent damage. Any helpful suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Would it cost more to repair or replace it? The wates isn't leaking from the hoses, it's coming from the motor/pump. Kenmore washing machine.

We moved in to our lovely warm 1400 sf house in October. We hadn't spent one winter in it. I live in Canada where the winters can get cold on some days. ie-today is -30 celcius.

Our house is a storey and a half. On the top floor, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is a heating vent on the outside wall of this bathroom that we are wondering might be causing a huge issue with ice damming on that same side of the house. Ice damming is ice built up on the edge of the roof about 7 inches deep as well as a great deal of icycles.

Last night it was extrememly cold and we kept hearing clunking sounds on our roof. Mostly this was heard on the side of the house where the ice damming is. very scary. They happenned about once every hour or two. It sounded like the house was falling apart. What could this be and what can we do to fix the ice damming temporarily and also permanently? Thanks

AC tech guy broked the evaporator coil in the furnace and leaked a significant amount of freon gas in the attic. i opened the door to the attic and opened all the windows in the house to ventilate out for about two hours.

1. Is it good enough?

2. The tech guy did not think this is a serious matter. He went to the attic and finished his job and said this does not produce any problem. This is the opposite of what i am hearing.

3. How should I remove freon gas from the attic?

There is heated air coming from the vents upstairs, but none in my living room downstairs. The kitchen has very little warm air coming from the floor vents.

I am moving into a house with an unfinished basement, and I am looking to create a room down there big enough to have band practice in, that I can deaden the sound enough to not disturb roomates/neighbors. I have done some reasearch, but most of the suppliers aren;t really specific on what the cheapest most economically sound way of doing it is.

I've been running a dehumidifier, but there's gotta be a better solution. (everytime I open the door for the dog, the water sloshes out onto the carpet) Should there not be drainage from the track?
