We are buying an older house. Some of the siding is gone. I would like to replace it with similar siding. I am afraid it is too old of siding to find a replacement for the missing or worn out siding. How do I know?

take a sample to the lumber yard. If you can't get a sample, you won't be able to tell.

take a few photos of the siding and bring them to your local lumber yard or building supply. they should be able to help.

If its old siding than most likely it is Aluminum

you look at it and determine what type of siding it is.if you need to ask this do yourself a favour and hire someone to do the renovatios on your home.

aluminum will dent, vinyl will melt and wood or by products will burn.
