I went to put the clothes in the dryer, and I found that there was still about 6 inches of water in the bottom of my washing machine. I have tried to make it drain, and go through the spin cycle. All it does is spin the water around. Any ideas on what may be wrong, and how to fix it?

A model number would be most helpful since Kenmore is the store brand for Sears and they have their appliances made by all if the manufacturers. Without knowing witch manufacturer made your machine I would only be guessing.

90 could be the year the washer was manufactered. The numver in the model # tell you when the machine was made. From what your telling me, this sound like the pump in not pumping the water out of the tub, you may have something cloughing the pump. If not then replacing the pump would be the next option and that will cost around 30-40 dollars for YOU to fix, a repair person 4x-6x as much to come to your house to fix.

The Drain pump might be defective - you would need to replace it - if you are a good handy man - you should be able to change it without much problems - good luck
