We bought a house last spring that has free gas comming from a well on the property behind us.We didn't have any problems all summer and the pressure stayed up to 30psi.Now that it has gotten clod and wet the pressure drops and comes back up all the time.Recently it has droped and stayed down real low at the house but back at the well it is still 30psi.I was told that the lines could be cleaned but we don't have the $ to pay someone to do it.My husband knows alittle about the lines because he makes the stuff for them at work. My question is if we turned the gas off back at the well is there a way we could clean out the lines ourselves?

due to the highly explosive nature of this equipment I would say leave it to a professional or if you have a death wish- continue on your quest

if you have a turn off at the well attach a pressure gage there if the pressure problem is there you need professional help. if it is from the well to the house ether replace pipe or send a pig - something that fits in the line tight but loses enough to move around then send pig through with water or air pressure. Remember to allow the gas to escape before working on it. check the condition of the pipe if it is rusted badly it needs replacing. If it is the well have professional help.

If you have to ask then it is best left to professionals. They are professionals for a reason.........they know what they are doing. Gas and electricity are two things you shouldn't screw with unless you know how. Coincidently I find it kind of odd that the lines would be clogged, I have a feeling your problem lies somewhere else. Be safe and good luck.
