I thought that the pilor light wasn't on, so i was going to reheat it. It was already lit. My heater is up as far as it goes, and the heat option is selected, but it's not getting any warmer. Yikes!?!

I moved over the summer, and this is my first winter with a gas furnace. Right now it will get hot, eventually, but it blows "room temperature" air for 20-30 minutes before the air starts to warm up. It seems like this is wasting a lot of energy, is this normal for a gas furnace? If not, any idea what could be wrong with it?

This noise can occur at any time of day, including the middle of the night. It can be so loud that it wakes everyone up. It never lasts longer than a few seconds then is gone. The frequency is anywhere from 0 to 3 times per day and the interval is unpredictable. It's difficult to locate the source but seems to come from a plumbing wall between the bathroom and the kitchen. Someone suggested that it is something 'looking for water'. The only things that match that in our home are the water softener on regenerate and the solenoid activated spray humidifier.

It is the 2 part epoxy paint with texure. Was wondering how well it holds up, and if it will last on my outside cement steps.

It is currently a rust/brown two tone color. It is a 1970's model and is in very good shape but the color needs to be lighter, maybe almond/beige. I searched the internet for info but only found sites to purchase new ones at a very expensive price.

I have an uninsulated garage door and was wondering if there is anyway to insulate it. As in taping insulation to it? It isn't one that can come apart. If I can't insulate it, any other ideas would be great!

We recently purchased a Kenmore 70 pint. It was so noisy! It was placed in the basement on a concrete floor. We recently had a lightning strike and the surge took out the dehumidifer. Now we have to replace it and I want something more quiet.

Hi All - I turned my dishwasher on and it was running for a couple of minutes and then just stopped. Now it won't start up again. Has anyone had this happen? How do it fix it without calling for repair?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Are there security devices or cameras that you could put in front of your home, that don't look like security cameras, and could they get pictures at night? Reason being we've had 2 cars stolen from our home, and a huge potted cactus taken from our front porch.
Are these systems expensive?

Traditionally, to overlay floorboards I am aware 12mm plywood was used: would anyone recomend using 12mm chipboard or 12mm mdf. [Are there any health issues using mdf] Price is my concern, ply working out at double the price of mdf and mdf being double the price of chipboard. Advice appreciated. [anyone know of Tyneside outlets [UK] that sell cheap ply or websites?] THANKS.

I know that they will "chirp" when the battery gets weak, and I have changed the batteries recently. But this is not a chirping noise; it is as if there is smoke in the house and the alarm is going off.
