I moved over the summer, and this is my first winter with a gas furnace. Right now it will get hot, eventually, but it blows "room temperature" air for 20-30 minutes before the air starts to warm up. It seems like this is wasting a lot of energy, is this normal for a gas furnace? If not, any idea what could be wrong with it?

The air fan of the furnace, when the thermostat is in heating mode, should not start at about 80 to 90 degrees temperature. If your fan is blowing room temperature, it means that something is wrong with the temperature controls of the system. Have a reliable heating company check the temperature controls in the unit as well as the room thermostat.
