I live in new Jersey and after a heavy rain storm, I have puddles that accumulate in certain area of the property. Are there trees or plants that I can plant that will help to absorb the water more rapidly rather that waiting for evaporation or the soil to absorb it? much of the soil is clay

.

Thank you

I recently dug into my compost pile to spread it out for the winter, i found deep in the center small maggot looking things but smalller and more yellow (but definately alive), i didnt know if these are baby earthworms or something that I don't need growing in my garden. I took pictures if anyone needs me to post them. Just curious thanks. ps this is my first attempt at a compost pile thanks.

Ok, of course my Grapefruit tree is baring fruit. The thing is annoying neighborhood kids (about from age 6-10) are always plucking them and destroying/mutaliating them for fun when we aren't looking. It's hard to spot them when they do it, as my fruit tree is in front of my house, and I'm always inside. At times I do hear them, and sometimes, like just recently, I can't. I don't know when they do it, but I never have a chance to catch them "red handed". It's tough, so trying to get them to learn a lesson is pretty difficult. Last time I tried, they scurried off real fast, and that was like 4 years ago.

So any solutions to getting these kids from destroying my fruit?! I could probably go as far as landmines and cameras, but that's costly, especially with lawsuits. I can't go to these kids' houses, as I don't know where they live. I'm pretty sure there's laws against this disruptive behavior, right?

In any case, I would really like to know how to get rid of these kids.

I just got this Troy-Bilt 23-HP V-Twin 50" Automatic Garden Tractor. I was test driving it around the yard and noticed the front tires point in. Being I have never had or ridden a ride mower before I don't know if this in normal. I tried to look it up in the book it came with and it did not show anything.

I'm in Western NC and this has come up in my yard. It's fast growing and spreads easily. I'd like to use it if I can, but I want to be sure of what it is first.
