I have large lawn and am looking for any shortcuts, time savers.

You could either rent or purchase a leaf blower/vacuum.
I would think the vacuum would be the easiest and best way to pick of leaves. But, then again, I don't pick up leaves, I just mow over them and use them for winter mulch in my flower beds. For me, that is the easiest time saver ever.

I work for a landscaping company and we do leaf clean up for some pretty large properties.
You can rent or purchase large leaf blowers to push all the leaves to one area. Once the leaf pile gets too large to move, we use our riding mowers as bulldozers to push them along.

My Father always kept a very neat yard....he would mow each week until all leaves were gone...stated the leaves were his fertilizer.
