Hi, I am late this year taking down my gazebo, so i decided to do it today. In the curtains of my gazebo were lot's of wasp's that seemed to be dead, so i was just knocking them off onto the ground. As i was folding the curtains a wasp started crawling over them.So i thought they must be in a hibernation state, I know this may sound like a daft question but i am curious. Thanks....x

I bought yellow and white chrysanthemums and planted them together in August. Now in November they are all yellow. I read in another "Answer" that the soil condition will make them turn pink. Not the case here as mine are all yellow now. I am wondering if I had planted them separately that I would still have white ones.

I bought a pitiful Knockout Rose "tree" (hoping it is a knockout). I was hoping to pot it, prune it and hope it makes it till next spring. I live in southern MD, is it possible to let them sit in a pot all winter?

I would love to save my hanging baskets for the summer, should I cut them back, take clippings, or is it a fruitless task?

Hi guys, i have just been bought flowers by moy lovely boyfriend. In the bunch are some pink roses, but also, as well as lots of decorative stuff, some big flowers which look, sounds bizarre, like a combination between a cabbage and a rose!!!!! does anyone know what the plant is called and whether it actually is a cross between these two things! (I would include a picture but I don't know how). Many thanks. xxx

I live in newcastle NSW and am looking for a mulch that you can put on a steep hill garden that doesnt wash away but lumps together when it gets wet. I have heard names of Hoop pine mulch, bark fibre mulch, shredded mulch, environmental mulch, but there seems to be no places around that sell these mulches. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am moving in less than 30 days...I have over 10 very stable rose bushes in my back yard and want to keep them and have them when i move...How long can they stay in pots indoors? and i live in indiana where it is quite cold, but the ground is not frozen.
since they are dormant, and hearty, will they survive being indoors until Spring when i clear the NEW patio and replant...
someone please advise...i have had these bushes for over 10 years, and don't want to leave them behind....
i can't come back and get them, because i rented...so that option is out..

This is a plant with round, variegated leaves. The plant is about 6"-8" tall, and has a long spike of tiny bunched pink flowers arching over the top. I saw this plant in a Brooklyn garden last week and it seemed to be very happy in shade. What could this be?
