I was given a 3/4 gallon of red paint. Latex, satin finish. Not fire engine red, but not far from it. I would like to make it very dark. I am not painting a room in my house, but furniture on my porch. It doesn't have to hide or "cover" much. I've tried working ideas from the color wheel, but I cannot remember the color wheel. I tried deepening a darker red that had alot of pink tones in it, and added a 1/2 cup of black, ended up with purple. The paint was free, no big loss but I'd like to get it close this time. It is red, with no obvious hints of other colors. And I would like it to be the tone of "primitive red." Or "rustic red" Thanks

I have a problem with a picture, that I am Trying to hang. For some reason, the top of it hangs away from the wall. How do I fix this and make it flush?

2007-09-28 10:34:56 · 4 answers · asked by JKtile 2

every other time with the water going down someimes and staying in the bowl sometimes.

I checked inside the tank and see that sometimes water in it when flushed only goes down half way and then shuts off and starts filling again. when I hold the flush handle down for many seconds longer than one normally would, it seems to flush everytime.

Other than holding it down so long for it to fully release all the water in the tank into the bowl, how can I fix this?

The ball floats up very high in the bowl but the problems seems to be the empty hole closing too quickly.

Please help as I am single with no one to help me know how to do plumbing things.

II was going to buy a draino for toilets but does this seems unnecessary now or will it still help.

Is the problem in the tank or in the bowl and pipes?

Heres my situation: I just built a bar out of MDF board and it looks really good. I figured that I would just leave it the way it is because I know that if I paint it, I might mess it up. However, last night, I decided to put a nice cold beer on top of the MDF counter. Big mistake. Once I lifted the beer off the counter, I noticed that the water left behind started to create "bubbles." Since I am completely new at carpentry, I was wondering how I should finish the bar. Since MDF is not "real" wood, how should I treat it?

The wooden runner underneath my center desk drawer went missing when I moved to a new house. I need to replace it, and these are the approximate dimensions. Tried Home Depot, and they wouldn't cut a piece of wood to those dimensions.

Im talking about, boxes, a jewelry box in particular, but I would't mind if you told me how to make other things like chests or something so I can get a feel for building.

Basically if you have any tips, great, otherwise I think I'm really looking for plans, instructions, diagrams with measurments written on them, something like that.

For the jewelry box, I would like to start by looking at some retail ones, then looking at various plans for them and then adapt some of my own ideas into one. Thanks in advance!

I have some thin metal sheets (CR), .004 and .010 thick. I need to cut a half moon type shape on one edge of the metal sheet with about a 3" dia. Is there something available, or is it possible, to maybe use a punch press, or something similar, to cut this half moon shape out without leaving a rough edge? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
