There was an article in Readers Digest this month about a lady who started her own Internet company as a supplier of soap making materials. Try her site below.

You can do it. I'm assuming you already have a recipe/formula?

You need a base oil, water and lye. I'm guessing you're having a hard time finding the lye? Try the hardware store!!!

The only other thing you need is the scent. All natural oils would be the ESSENTIAL oils and not fragrance oils.

go to majestic mountain sage's - lye calculator, read & make your own recipe's, different fats make different properties/charecteristics in soap. lard is probably the cheapest #25 lbs @ the grocery $ 13.00.
best mix is lard/tallow + coconut ( big bubbles - popcorn oil $ 58.00 for 50 lbs ) + olive oil ( little bubbles )
I don't add scent, that's why you buy colonge.
good luck

dig soap root, its a plant that acts like soap, use flowers for sent, or fragrance,
do a search for soap root, only grows in certain states, i dig mine in tn, and use berries, or flowers for smell, i boil all of it to together, and strain it when pouring to molds.
