The BETTER idea in any manner of shampooing; as it relates to carpet or upholstery is that the delivery system do its job by Foaming/Sudsing; allowing that dirt will be Lifted and "suspended" as opposed to SOAKED IN. Then to Vacuum up that suspended material is the appropriate method of removal.
