if you are in receipt of any benefits like tax credit etc you can have it done free

Try phoning your electricty/gas supplier and ask for an energy efficiency check. You can get all kinds of things done for free. Our supplier sent some people to insulated our cavity wall. They would have done our loft as well, except that we had already done it before we knew about this free service. It's worth the cost of a phone call. Good luck.

I'll assume you don't live in the states; but noting that you have access to this forum; why not explore the WEB; using the browser box and keywords; then perhaps more locally narrowing your search? Just a thought.
