Unfortunately I forgot how to make these gorgeous bird houses with stones. I don't remember how to produce that stuff that keeps the stones together, otherwise I'd like to make my mum, my m8, and maybe another friend a proper birds house, something that lasts for ages and ages (maybe another one for my granny's garden tree, she's got 2trees, and only 1 birdshouse, that still remains from school time). Because our wooden ones get really worn every year and become leaky, wood sucks too much water and sometimes grows living cultures other than our lovely birds inside, caused by all the rain we get in GB. And that's why we want the proper ones, so we don't have to replace them all the time, and they are much warmer, so more cozy for our robins.... IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP AND PROVIDE US WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE STUFF BETWEEN THE STONES, PLEASE? It would really be appreciated very much indeed. By the way, this would also enable me to pass the skills on to my daughters, so they do creative things later in their lives, rather than drugs and crime or other stupid things, that I don't wish them to. I love them lots and lots!

I'm trying to make a bedframe for a morbidly obese person.
I need suggestions on how to do this and what kind of wood to use.
I should first state: I have no idea what I'm doing, but I m hoping it may not be to hard to do.
I want to start out with 4 planks? of wood to make the frame I want them to interlock then I will reinforce it by using nails or screws. Next a plank lengthwise down the middle. Next a large slab of wood on top the size of a queen sized mattress. Next screw that onto the planks in several places. Would I need a boxspring too?
I need to know what type wood to use.
Does my plan sound right or are all you skilled carpenters laughing your heads off? Please let me know before I get this project started.

The unit is recently installed and the closet is at the end of the entry adjacent to the living/dining area. My downstairs is so small and it is noisy when the unit comes on. My entry is tile, the closet floor is cement, the l/d room carpet. The wooden door on the heater closet has slats for ventilation.

We just moved to a new house on a cul-de-sac and there is a large empty field between our back yard and the sound wall of the freeway. There is some debris and plants with gourds growing back there and it looks like skunk heaven. Ouir small dog already got sprayed but the smell came into the house...any ideas on chasing them away??

I am starting the construction of my own kitchen cabinets. I have done it before using solid maple and maple ply with great success, but in a new book I am reading, the author highly recommends the purchase of a jointer. Now, I understand that the jointer makes a straight edge on the lumber, but if I am purchasing dried S3S lumber, does it matter? With 3 edges straight and surfaced, won't my planer be sufficient to get good parallel edges? The wood is Paduak. I plan on doing a lot of edge jointing of the wood to make wider boards because Paduak is not commonly available as a veneer on plywood (where it is, it ends up being more expensive than solid wood). Any help is appreciated.

The kit is a large plastic sheet (20X30feet) laid over plastic pipe frame. You fill it with a few inches of water and the cold of winter is supposed to make it freeze. But it is never cold enough so it is mostly water with a ittle ice. Are there off-the shelf systems that could be used to freeze it? I could possibly build a unit if the proper equipment is available. It would need to run on a standard 120V outlet.
