We were storing our dresser with masking tape holding the drawers closed for two years. You can imagine that now we cannot remove the tape. Any ideas on how to remove the masking tape from the dresser?

I would like to put flooring in my loft, I live in the scottish countryside and during winter get mice in my loft. My question is this :- If I floor the loft will the mice be destructive to the cabling under the loft flooring, if so how can I prevent them doing this or will they simply go away because the area will be more inhabited by humans ?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Any ideas what's causing this? I've checked the main wiring and another shower unit of exactly the same make and model and the same thing happens. Is this "normal" or is there something else causing this phenomenon? Any advice or suggestions welcome...

I would like to take old corn crib and convert it to cottage, by removing inner walls. What do I have to do to make sure that the roof does not cave in or how do I beef up the rafters (not buy them), Also is there a good web site to see pictures or drawings. Do I need to beef up the base? It was built in 1950s. HxWxD 12 plus roof by 28 by 32. Roof is probabbly another 10 to12 ft.

would it be a safe, load-bearing wall? I saw a house once that was stone but it looked like it was more throw-together than most stone houses. I was just wondering if someone could build a decent wall without "fitting" stone together.

I want to put a few pictures up in the bedroom on the outside wall but am not good with the power tools... My OH says that it must be drilled and pluged first but I know he wont get round to doing it.
Would it really be that bad to just tack a few nails in the wall to hang them on? i'm not worried about the plaster cracking but just want to make sure the pictures stay up.

Other than calling an electrician in, I need your help in resolving this.I am trying to pull CAT5e cable myself with the help of relatives.
Need to know the rules in measuring the length of cable required from a basement to the 2nd floor.
I can't recall what the mathematical estimation is to figure this out.
Ex., let's say you have Room A with dimension L (A) x W (A), and Room B with dimensions L(B) x W (B), and distance between each floor is 10 feet.
I want to be able to move the cable around anywhere in the perimeter of ONLY Room B. Room A is fixed, where cable will start the run.
How much cable will be needed to run from Room A to Room B (anywhere within)?I would like to have a 25% growth for cable plus any loop arounds - like going around vent systems, crossing over other electrical wires.
I think there was a formula (which i can't remember) where you take the perimeter of the room, multiply it by 25%, then add the # of feet per each floor for the vertical runs. Can u pls help?
