wood crafts?

are there many people who craft wooden decorations ? like wall plaques or clocks, etc.

There are alot out there. I do woodcrafts among other crafts all year around so when Christmastime comes around, I give the items (made from the heart in the USA) to my recipients instead of buing something with a sticker on it that says "Made in China".
I appreciate those out there who still do handcrafts and encourage more of it. It is neat to travel different places and see how different areas have different types of popular pieces for their region.

Go to a craft fair. People are into everything. It's fun and it helps to pass the time. Wooden things are excellent. I've seen clocks made of rounds or ovals of tree. Highly glossed and clocks set into them. Really nice. I've bought wooden reindeer too. One that has the back that holds x-mas cards or just a nice floral piece or even a santa. Then there are the lawn signs. They are always fun. Little animals, sayings. People even still make wooden rocking horses. Go to a fair. You will be amazed. You get tons of ideas. They are very good sellers too. Especially around the holidays. Easter and Christmas. Mostly Christmas. I love crafting. I don't do much with wood but the things I've seen are excellent.

check out your local craft stores. Most crafts can be seen during the christmas holidays at churches and schools that but on craft shows

There are probably hundreds of thousands into wood craft of some type. I'm a hobbyist and I do clocks, decorations, etc.

Mostly you will find vendors selling locally once in a while you will find things online or go to the local market and find the magazine called Marketplace.

Michaels has a large selection of wooden parts for things you can make or go to an online supplier
To buy I would look in my local paper or at the local shops
