With power off it should take approxx. 5 mins.
only 2 wires to pull off ( spade terminals ), pull off solinoid valve
push on new valve, connect two wires iether connection dosn't matter about polarity. refit cover, job done easy mate.

Yes it is.
Turn off the Electricity supply to the shower and the water supply.
Remove the screws holding the solenoid and loosen or remove the screws around the inlet connections.
Undo the coupler holding the water pipe to the solenoid.( you may need a new Olive)( copper ring).
Remove old solenoid and fit new one being careful to locate the "O" ring correctly and then perform the opposite of removal.
Turn water back on slowly and make sure there are no leaks.
Switch on electricity and test.
Job Done

With basic DIY skills it`s fairly easy.If you are not confident then don`t attempt it!

depends how good you are at diy, i would say no to be honest.
