If you want a chicken pot pie, get the crust from the local grocery store and brush an egg wash on it prior to baking. Cut the vent slots symmetrical and equal. Watch it during baking and remove it when it is perfectly browned. It should be beautiful. Perhaps a garnish of parsley will make it even more attractive. This is simple and should be beautiful.

Well, the drain pipe coming from the bottom of the pot is usually about 4" diameter, and cast iron. Not exactly something most people can make at home. It's far cheaper to just get what you need from a plumbing supply house.

Come on, man. Use a good hardwood, softwood burns too easily. Drill two holes, one big enough to be the bowl, one long enough for the stem. Carve it into the desired shape, sand smooth. Apply a light layer of beeswax as a sealant, not in the bowl, of course. A beeswax candle will work. Buff with a soft cloth to remove excess wax, and polish the surface.

Well you can make a pot bowl that really flows by using a small car muffler,get one with a proper bend and make sure it is clean.Smokes a pound of bud in one sitting.
