Okay, I have a tip for you..... But it may be for future use, 'cause it sounds like your problem is a serious one and may require a plumber....
In the future, if it gets plugged...pour about a quart of water into the bowl---straight down into the hole. For some reason, the pressure of this water pushes through and all of the contents usually go with it. Now, it does not work every time and this will not work if it's plugged with too much toilet paper or some other object..... like a toy or tampon.. But if it's like my stupid toilet....it might help you out in the future. Good luck.

Do you actually know that something unacceptable was flushed and caused the stoppage??
I ask because we have one toilet closest to the septic tank that the angle of the line causes it to back up. BECAUSE some tree roots grew into the line and had to be ground out with a special grinder by Roto Rooter.
If it is a soft something or other. Buy or borrow a snake to run through the drain. It is a long cable that cranks down into the line scraping the sides and breaking the stoppage loose.

If you cant get it with a plunger then you need to get your hands on a worm basically a drill with a kind of extension on it that is a flexible steel rod with tip kind of like a drill bit that you feed down through the toilet while the drill is turning and that should do the trick but it can be quite messy and unless you know someone that does maintanace you will need to hire the equipment good luck and wear gloves!!! good heavy duty ones because the steeel rod can pinch and be quite nasty.

If a plunger won't do the trick its time to invest in a "toilet auger". They run about $20 to $30 and operate like a manual snake, but are designed to clear a toilet trapway.
If the auger doesn't do the trick, than your issue is farther down the line...........

If you've tried a plunger and that didn't work. You'll have to remove the toilet and take it outside and dump it out. Or call a plumber.

I have a manufactured home and this has happened to me so I use bleach and let it sit for an hour or so and this usually does the trick.

If the plunger didn't work, it's time to call Roto-Rooter.
